Laura Toddie, DVM
Dr. Laura Toddie knew that she wanted to become a veterinarian since the second grade. She was an expert at helping snakes, turtles, mice, ducks and other birds, often splinting wings with popsicle sticks and hand feeding orphaned rabbits and squirrels. A 1991 University of Minnesota graduate, she has been a veterinarian at Heritage Pet Hospital for 22 years, and a co-owner since 2002. Her passion for a large variety of animals is evident in the home she shares with her husband, Rod, and her daughter Jane. They currently have 2 dogs, 4 cats, 3 turtles, 3 frogs, 2 toads, a cockatiel and a rabbit. When she is not cleaning cages and litterboxes, Laura enjoys reading, golf and travel.
Travis Einertson, DVM
Dr. Travis Einertson graduated from Colorado State University in 1994. He practiced in Palmer, Alaska for two years before joining the Heritage Pet Hospital team in 1996. He became co-owner in 2002. Dr. Einertson's primary interests are in small animal medicine and surgery. He has developed a strong interest in achieving remission in feline diabetics. Although insulin is used initially, he is often able to use a healthful diet to get these patients off of all medications. Preventing diabetes, obesity and numerous health conditions with proper diet has been an exciting chapter in his veterinary career.
